| Hitachi | C1714T etc | Field o/p chip repeatedly fails | Replace ic 601. get two 33v Zener diodes and connect them in series ( BZX79C33V) connect the anode to pin 1 of ic601 cathode to pin 2 of ic 601. Fit 10nF 50v capacitor across the frame scan plug E701 on print side of the plug. If the ic still blows after this mod. a new CRT is required. The tube is flashing over. This applies to all sizes of 14T/TE range of sets |
